Hong Kong-based company Urtopia has gone ahead and launched a sleek e-bike that is designed to be more accessible in terms of price point than its predecessor the ‘Carbon One,’ with the use of an aluminum frame instead of its previous offering’s carbon fiber making it less lightweight but offering the advantage of more affordability.

The ‘Chord’ is a sleek e-bike that can be obtained in either step-over or step-through designs. While aluminum frames generally aren’t prized for being aesthetically pleasing, the ‘Chord’ offers a significant upgrade due to the absence of visible welds. Meanwhile, there’s also a subtle design upgrade over the ‘Carbon One,’ with the new ‘Chord’ featuring a more streamlined battery integration design.

As far as performance is concerned, the ‘Chord’ e-bike offers a 250-watt motor that enables riders to attain a top speed of 32 km/h and 25 km/h on the U.S. and European versions respectively.
