The ‘MLB MVPs since 2000’ quiz

Sports

It would be hard to argue that the 2023 World Baseball Classic was anything but an unmitigated success, and that was before Shohei Ohtani struck out Mike Trout to clinch the tournament win for Japan. Ohtani was the no-brainer MVP of the WBC for his performance on-field, and his speech prior to the matchup vs. the U.S. will likely go down as an all-timer. “Let’s stop admiring them…If you admire them, you can’t surpass them. We came here to surpass them, to reach the top. For one day, let’s throw away our admiration for them and just think about winning.” Job done. Now Angels fans just have to hope the WBC success translates over to the MLB regular season.

Which brings us to today’s quiz of the day. Ohtani and Trout have four MVP Awards between them, and one would have to imagine that more are on the horizon. So with that in mind, how many of the AL and NL MVPs since the 1990 MLB season can you name in six minutes?

Good luck!
