The Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio, welcomed nine new members on Thursday.

During the NFL Honors, the Hall of Fame class of 2023 was announced , including Darrelle Revis, Joe Thomas, Ronde Barber, Zach Thomas and DeMarcus Ware.

Joining the modern-era electees are longtime St. Louis Cardinals and San Diego Chargers head coach Don Coryell, elected to the hall as a coach/contributor, along with Chuck Howley, Joe Kelcko, and Ken Riley, who are all in as senior finalists.

Revis finds himself elected to Canton in his first year of eligibility. A shutdown corner to rival all others, Revis was a seven-time Pro Bowler and four-time All-Pro over 11 seasons with the New York Jets, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New England Patriots and Kansas City Chiefs.

Like Revis, tackle Joe Thomas is in on his first try. Thomas spent his entire 11-year career with the Cleveland Browns and still owns the NFL record for consecutive snaps (10,363). Playing in 167 games along the Browns’ offensive line, Thomas earned 10 Pro Bowl nods and six All-Pro honors.

Former linebacker and defensive end for the Dallas Cowboys and Denver Broncos, Ware heads to Canton in his second year of eligibility. Ware had a standout performance in Super Bowl 50 with the Broncos, ending his career with nine Pro Bowls and three All-Pro honors.

Barber joins the hall in his sixth year of eligibility. Spending his entire 16-year career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Barber owns several franchise records and helped the team win its first Super Bowl in 2003. The NFL’s all-time sack leader among corners finished his career earning three All-Pro selections while being voted to the Pro Bowl five times.

Zach Thomas is finally heading to Canton after a 10-year wait. Thomas spent 12 of his 13 seasons with the Miami Dolphins, making 168 starts, the most in franchise history. The 1996 Defensive Rookie of the Year was an All-Pro five times and a seven-time Pro Bowler.

The enshrinement ceremony for the class of 2023 will take place on August 5.
