Nintendo showcased several upcoming games ranging from all-new titles to remastered fan-favorites and even virtual emulators of retro games. One title the gaming company announced and subsequently shadow dropped is ‘Metroid Prime Remastered,’ a science fiction first-person-shooter title originally released for the Nintendo Gamecube in 2002.
Metroid Prime is a spinoff of the mainline Metroid series that focuses on three-dimensional action-style shooting gameplay with puzzles mixed in, whereas the mainline Metroid series primarily consists of 2D platformers with Metroidvania-style gameplay.
Metroid Prime Remastered brings stunning 1080p visuals, remastered twin-stick controls, animation improvements, remodeled textures, and more. The title is available now from Nintendo Switch’s eShop for $40 USD or $50 CAD. Additionally, a physical version of the game will release on February 22nd at various retailers.
