Photorealistic Virtual Models : StudioAvatars

Trends
ColorDigital and its DMIx platform created a series of StudioAvatars with Verce that introduce customizable virtual avatars for brand use.

The photorealistic digital human avatars are ready to be used in marketing and as Gerd Willschütz, CEO and co-founder of ColorDigital, said in a release, “Until now, an end-to-end 3D workflow with virtual models has not been able to meet marketing demands and substitute human models photographs on e-commerce systems.”

With Verce, two products were created: DMIx StudioAvatars and DMIx 3D-Studio, each of which will help to support diversity and representation in the fashion industry. In addition to simplifying a complex workflow, the avatars can be created digitally or based on the scan of a human model, which also introduces a new way for talent to license their digital likeness.
