Mercedes-Benz aims to enhance its workforce with innovative technology, aligning with its pursuit of excellence. Apollo will initially assist in logistics by transporting parts to the production line for assembly, streamlining the process by simultaneously inspecting components. Furthermore, the new robot will facilitate the delivery of assembled parts later in the manufacturing cycle.

Integrating humanoid robots like Apollo enables organizations such as Mercedes-Benz to optimize operations within existing infrastructure designed for human workers. This strategy eliminates the need for extensive facility redesigns, ensuring seamless integration of robotics alongside human labor.

“When we set out to build Apollo, an agreement like the one we’re announcing today with Mercedes-Benz was a dream scenario,”said Jeff Cardenas, co-founder & CEO of Apollo. “Mercedes plans to use robotics and Apollo for automating some low skill, physically challenging, manual labor – a model use case which we’ll see other organizations replicate in the months and years to come.”
