Inaugural Incense Lines : incense collection

Trends
Contemporary skin and body care brand Aesop, which is known for its elegant aesthetics, has recently debuted an incense collection featuring three fragrances. This release is a first for the brand.

Aesop’s inaugural incense collection is “crafted in Japan by a centuries-old incense atelier” and in collaboration with Barnabé Fillion. Staying true to the origin of craftsmanship, the incense aromas “take their names from well-known diaries by Japanese authors from the Heian period.” Kagerous, for example, boasts a blend of woody and earthy aromas derived from vetiver, igusa, and sandalwood. Sarashina, on the other hand, is a warmer woody fragrance combining sandalwood with clove and cinnamon. Finally, the Murasaki incense features the “fresh woody resins of hinoki” with a similar spice profile as Sarashina.
