Elon Musk gives all Israeli Teslas free fast charging, hopes for peace

Tesla has temporarily ceased charging its vehicle owners in Israel for using its fast charging stations. The company has conveyed to car owners that, until further notice, charging services will be provided free of charge.

Israel is now home to 17 supercharger facilities by Tesla, spanning from Kiryat Shmona to Eilat. Each of these stations has the capability to charge at least six cars simultaneously, delivering a rapid 250-kilowatt charging rate.

As of now, there are 17,120 Tesla cars on Israeli roads.

It is worth noting that Tesla’s charging stations in Israel are exclusively available to owners of Tesla-manufactured vehicles, while in Europe and the United States, they have begun opening these stations to other electric vehicles.

Elon Musk hopes for peace amid the Israel-Hamas war

This week, Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and owner of X (formerly Twitter), expressed his sentiments, saying, he is saddened by the situation in Israel and holds hope for a future of peace.

Just two days ago, Musk responded to a provocative post from Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who shared a video of participants escaping from Hamas terrorists during the Supernova music festival and asserted that “God willing, the cancer of the usurper Zionist regime will be eradicated at the hands of the Palestinian people and the Resistance forces throughout the region.”

In response, Musk stated, “Khamenei’s official position is clear that the eradication of Israel is the actual goal, not just supporting Palestinians. That will not happen. All that actually happens, decade after decade, is a never-ending cycle of violence and vengeance. Stoking the fires of hatred isn’t working. Perhaps it is time to consider something else.”

Additionally, the charging company EV-EDGE has declared complimentary charging services at its high-speed stations located in the Gaza border area. These charging stations are situated in Ashkelon, Ofakim, Nitivot, and Sderot.
