Terraline, the San Francisco-based freight transportation company that previously went by the name of Solo Advanced Vehicle Technologies, is launching a high-tech long-haul truck that has an exceptionally high-performance all-electric mechanism.

One of the standout features of the brand new ‘Tangra LH1’ long-haul truck is that it offers a driving range of over 500 miles on a single charge, thanks to its massive battery architecture as well as its suite of high-efficiency operating tools. For example, the truck is filled with a variety of aerodynamic mechanisms as well as a streamlined truck cab that minimizes drag. Even the charging hardware is designed to be quick and efficient, allowing for minimal delays due to charging.

While Terraline was previously known for its autonomous trucking projects, the advent of this futuristic, all-electric and human-driven long-haul truck speaks to the importance of meeting the growing demand for decarbonized trucking options in the near term.
