It turns out superstar Cristiano Ronaldo had millions of reasons to give up on pursuing additional UEFA Champions League football.

Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr confirmed on Friday it has officially signed Ronaldo as a free agent coming off the FIFA World Cup. Per CBS Sports and ESPN, among other outlets, Ronaldo put pen to paper on a deal that runs through the 2024-25 season and that is worth $75 million per year.

“History in the making,” Al-Nassr said in a released statement. “This is a signing that will not only inspire our club to achieve even greater success but inspire our league, our nation and future generations, boys and girls to be the best version of themselves. Welcome Cristiano to your new home.”
