Trends
Italian design studio VIsual Display redesigns the entrance space of the two Michelin-star restaurants in Udine, Italy ‘Agli Amici 1887.’ It was previously a tavern and with the new design, becomes a blue lounge that overlooks views of the town square. The lounge is inspired by the philosophy of the rest of the ‘Scarello House.’

This is the first interaction when a customer walks into the restaurant, so it is intricately designed to lead them to a unique gastronomic experience. Overall, it has a dark and mysterious ambiance that gets customers excited about their culinary experience. It boasts dim lighting and is then detailed with hints of neon colors to add an intriguing pop of contrast.
