United States Ambassador-at-Large Dyer’s Travel to Turkmenistan

U.S. Ambassador-at-Large to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons, Ambassador Cindy Dyer, will travel to Turkmenistan on October 26 to discuss the country’s efforts to combat human trafficking with a wide range of government and civil society stakeholders.

During her visit, she will meet with senior government officials, including the Foreign Minister, Prosecutor General, and members of the Countering Trafficking in Persons Commission, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection. Ambassador Dyer will highlight the 2024 U.S. Trafficking in Persons Report and explore opportunities for further collaboration on anti-trafficking efforts.

Ambassador Dyer will engage with international organizations, including the International Organization for Migration and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, to discuss collaborative efforts in the region.  She will also meet with civil society organizations and local NGOs to understand their anti-trafficking work and its impact on the community.

Ambassador Dyer’s visit underscores the United States’ commitment to fostering strong diplomatic ties and supporting initiatives that combat and prevent human trafficking in Turkmenistan.
