The ‘Bookscrew’ sideboard has been designed by Deniz Aktay with the help of CGI to showcase an ultra-modern form that puts a literal twist on the traditional furniture piece. The sideboard is constructed with a twisting metal frame that showcases a sense of perpetual movement to position storage space in a vertical manner before shifting it to horizontal. The side table furniture piece is meant for book storage, which helps to further drive home the intriguing design of the piece.
Aktay spoke on the ‘Bookscrew’ sideboard saying, “I loved the idea of a twisted sideboard to gain different access to your favorite books and highlight them in a special way due to the twisting metal frame. Further, you generate a book rack and a sideboard at once.”
