The NBA MVP debate has gotten heated lately, but on Monday, Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic may have wrapped up the award for the third straight season. Denver’s game vs. the Philadelphia 76ers was initially hyped as a battle of the potential MVPs, but with Joel Embiid ultimately unable to play, Jokic took advantage, putting up yet another triple-double in a 116-111 win. And sure, one game is not likely to sway things too far in either direction. But with recency bias always playing some part, at least a few voters may attach extra weight to Monday’s victory. Jokic was already the analytical favorite for most of the season, so his most recent performance may be what puts his MVP candidacy over the top.
Which brings us to today’s quiz of the day. The Joker is close to becoming just the third player in league history to average a triple-double for the entire regular season and became just the sixth player in NBA history to reach 100 career triple-doubles. So with that in mind, how many of the NBA’s career leaders in triple-doubles can you name in five minutes?
Good luck!
