Mansion On The Market As Owner Young Thug Languishes In Jail As He Awaits Trial On RICO Charges

Meanwhile, the 31-year-old has been unable to enjoy the home as he awaits trial on the aforementioned RICO case. Authorities claim Thug was the leader of YSL – a violent street gang – cofounded by Thug in the mid-2010s.

Over a half-dozen of his 27 co-defendants have already taken plea deals in the case. Thugger’s trial is set to begin on January 9, 2023.

Gunna, one of Thug’s YSL co-defendants, was released from prison last month after pleading guilty to racketeering charges, The Shade Room reported, with his sentence having been commuted to time served.

Gunna pleaded guilty to RICO racketeering conspiracy and gang related charges.

While many of his co-defendants have taken plea deals, Thug’s father urged his son not to accept a plea if offered just days ahead of the highly publicized trial.

“My son is not guilty of a lot of things that these people probably sayin’ about him,” Jeffrey Williams Sr. shared in an interview.

“As a father, if they came to him with a plea deal and he left it up to me to give him the advice. I would tell him, ‘No.’”

Thug’s Brother Accepts Plea Deal, YFN Lucci Will Not Take Stand Against Embattled Rapper

Even his own brother, who goes by the rap name Unfoonk, took a plea deal last month – the fifth co-defendant to do so thus far – however he denied snitching, The Shade Room previously reported.

Last week, The Shade Room reported that YFN Lucci will not be taking the stand against Young Thug, per his attorney. In a statement to TMZ, Drew Findling said prosecutors had not named Lucci–government name Rayshawn Bennett–as a witness.

Thug recently scored a legal win after a judge granted a motion to suppress evidence during a hearing two weeks ago. It was his first court appearance in months for his RICO Act case involving Young Slime Life (YSL). His team was in court to secure the return of Thugger’s property.

Police seized a cell phone, computer, and a ‘small amount’ of marijuana from Thug’s home in 2015. His legal team argued that the search was ‘illegal.’ They requested that recovered evidence shouldn’t be used in the trial. Judge Ural Glanville agreed.
