Sheryl Lee Ralph Doubles Down On Kardashian Lips Comment

Entertainment

Sheryl Lee Ralph said it, and she meant it! The Emmy-winning actress was a hot topic on social media after seemingly shading the Kardashians on the Golden Globes red carpet. During an interview with InStyle, Ralph gave her younger self advice, which included treasuring her lips.

At the tail-end of her advice, Ralph said:

“And there is certainly nothing wrong with your lips because there will be some people called Kardashians and they will pay $10,000 for your lips. Hang in there 15-year old Sheryl Lee Ralph, you’re good.”

After the red carpet moment, folks online debated whether Sheryl meant her comments as an insult to the Kardashian women. It’s also unclear where she sourced the $10,000 detail. However, as mentioned, one thing she made crystal on Wednesday (Jan.12) was that she stood behind her words.

And though the innanet is still discussing both her comment and follow-up, the Kardashians have seemingly let it fly.

Last summer, Kim Kardashian told Allure‘s Danielle Pergament that she’s “never filled” her lips or cheeks but got botox on her forehead in the past. In 2019, online critics accused Khloé Kardashian of getting too much lip filler after a social media post. In response, she shut down her comment section.

That same year, Kourtney Kardashian denied getting fillers in the comment section of a no-makeup selfie. The person wrote, “no makeup, just fillers,” and Kourtney responded, “I don’t do fillers, but I love this compliment.”

Though not a Kardashian, sister Kylie Jenner has been open through the years about getting lip fillers. In 2021, she revealed her insecurities about her lips “influenced her” to start Kylie Cosmetics, which rose to the top with lip kits.

“I had really small lips, and I didn’t ever think about it until I had one of my first kisses, and a guy said to me, ‘Oh my God, you’re such a good kisser, but you have such small lips or something like that,” Jenner said. She added, “From then on, I felt unkissable.”

Sheryl Lee Ralph’s Abbott Elementary Castmates Won At The Golden Globes And Got A Season 3 Greenlight
