Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken will release the 2024 Trafficking in Persons Report (TIP Report) on Monday, June 24, at 11:00 a.m. ET at the U.S. Department of State and will be joined by Cindy Dyer, Ambassador-at-Large to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons.

This annual report represents the world’s most comprehensive resource of anti-trafficking efforts around the globe.  The TIP Report, mandated by the Trafficking Victims Protection Act, exemplifies the United States’ longstanding bipartisan commitment to combating human trafficking.  Anti-trafficking stakeholders from around the world – and governments who want to do more – read the report each year to guide and support their work.  This year’s report, the 24th edition, includes narratives for 188 countries and territories, including the United States.  The TIP Report introductory material is drafted in partnership with the Department of State’s Human Trafficking Expert Consultant Network, which includes subject matter experts with lived experience of trafficking.

During the ceremony, Secretary Blinken and Ambassador Dyer will honor the 2024 TIP Report Heroes who will be recognized for their significant efforts to combat human trafficking.  This year marks the 20th anniversary of the TIP Report Heroes award program.  Following the ceremony, many of the Heroes will meet with their American counterparts in Washington, DC and Raleigh, North Carolina through the International Visitor Leadership Program, the Department’s premier professional exchange program.

The event will be open to the press for in-person coverage and streamed live on the Department homepage and the Department YouTube channel .

Following the ceremony, Ambassador Dyer will also deliver remarks and take questions in the Briefing Room at the top of the Department Press Briefing.

Instructions for embargoed access to the report will be sent to members of the press on Monday, June 24 at 9:00 a.m. ET.

Pre-set time for video cameras is 10:15 a.m. from the 23rd Street entrance.
