Scam Warning: fraudulent website ‘glife.help,’ misusing EU Humanitarian Aid logo

Human Rights

It has come to the attention of the European Commission’s Department for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (DG ECHO) that a fraudulent website, under the domain ‘glife.help,’ is misusing the European Union’s Humanitarian Aid name and logo.

This website falsely claims to receive our funding and support and offers supposed ‘safe passage’ to individuals from war zones, including from the Occupied Palestinian Territory, for a fee. We unequivocally state that the European Union does not fund, support, or associate with this entity or any of its activities.

Such exploitation of vulnerable individuals in times of crisis is reprehensible, and the EU firmly condemns it. Such fraudulent actions constitute criminal offences, and the Commission objects even more vehemently when the unauthorised use of the EU’s Humanitarian Aid name and logo takes place in such a context. We will ensure proper follow up and consider additional steps that may assist in having the website and any associated pages shut down.
