If you’re of a certain age, you’ve probably seen the Scooby-Doo live-action movies from the 2000s at least once or twice.

During a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Sarah revealed that the original cut of the first Scooby-Doo film was way different — and it also featured a kiss between Daphne and Velma.

Sarah says that she actually signed on to make Scooby-Doo because she was under the impression that the film would be less explicitly geared toward children in its subject matter.

“I think it was the reason I actually signed on to the movie,” she said. “It was less family-friendly to begin with.”

A caller then asked if the movie’s version of Daphne had a “relationship on the side” with Velma — and that’s when Sarah revealed all.

“It was an actual kiss between Daphne and Velma that got cut,” Sarah said, after disclaiming, “I don’t know about a relationship on the side, but there was a steamy…I mean, I said it was steamy, but they probably didn’t think it was, hence it was cut.”

“I feel like the world wants to see it,” she added. “But I don’t know where it is.”

Sarah also said that material was cut from the film that implied Fred — played by her real-life husband, Freddie Prinze, Jr. — was “interested in both, you know, parties.”

“There was a great line, too, where I remember, I’ll never forget, where we were having a fight — Daphne and Fred — and then I yell at him, ‘And that ascot makes you look gay!’ and I slam the door,” Sarah said.

“And they cut that, too.”
