Lenovo showcased its latest innovation in laptop technology through the ‘ThinkBook Twist.’ As the name of this laptop implies, the screen can fully rotate, or “twist,” to reveal an entirely different screen. One screen on the laptop is a 13.3-inch, 2.8k-resolution OLED panel with a 60Hz refresh rate, while the rear screen utilizes E-Ink technology and boasts a refresh rate of 12Hz. While this may seem very slow, it is quite fast for an E-Ink panel, as many of these only reach five to eight hertz.
On top of being a 12Hz panel, Lenovo’s E-Ink display is in color, which makes this one of the first colored E-Ink displays to hit the market, as the vast majority only display a range of white, gray, and black. Lenovo included the E-Ink panel to increase productivity while significantly extending the battery life of the laptop, as this screen requires little to no power, especially when compared to the 2.8K OLED display.
