The final Rivals Rankings Week for the 2023 class continues today with the updated defensive position rankings. There are 50 defensive linemen in the final Rivals250 and 80 are rated as at least four-star prospects.

BAI JOBE TO MICHIGAN STATE
“Headlined by five five-stars at the top, the 2023 weakside defensive end group is incredibly special as a whole. While Jobe isn’t a five-star, or even the highest-rated four-star at the position, he is a special talent that will be put in a position to succeed immediately upon his arrival to Michigan State.
“The Spartans’ defensive front is senior heavy and the staff will look to develop depth, making Jobe a likely candidate to be thrown in the mix right away. He has a college-ready frame and a skill-set made for the Big Ten.“ – Clint Cosgrove

JAMAAL JARRETT TO GEORGIA
“Georgia signed three five-star defensive linemen in this class but the best fit for a defensive lineman, regardless of school, is Jamaal Jarrett. The massive defensive tackle has a lot of similarities to former Georgia star and North Carolina native Jordan Davis. Both are dominant on the defensive line and very strong at the point of attack with the mobility to make plays in the backfield. Both finished high school with a lot of physical maturing to undergo before being able to see significant playing time at the college level. JORDAN HALL TO GEORGIA

They’re big, strong, tough, physical, aggressive, relentless, formidable in every way and just an absolute headache for offensive linemen. That description fits Jordan Hall perfectly and he showed it at the highest level during a dominant week at the All-American Bowl in San Antonio. Hall can use power to overwhelm linemen, he uses speed that he surprisingly possesses at his size and he has an attitude that no one is going to slow him down. PETER WOODS TO CLEMSON
“Despite some rocky seasons in the last half decade to Clemson‘s standards, one thing has stayed mostly consistent with the Tigers, even after the departure of defensive coordinator Brent Venables following the 2021 season: defensive line dominance. Clemson has made a living off of developing defensive linemen into first-round picks (five first rounders since 2015), and the next pass rushing menace with a chance to go in the first round is Peter Woods.
After what Bryan Bresee did at Clemson that has set him up for a first-round draft grade himself, Woods will be able to slide into the defensive tackle position and have an opportunity to not only contribute early, but to also excel and develop under one of the best defensive staffs in the country. There are a healthy handful of programs that can develop pass rushers, but there are few that can do what Clemson has done, especially in the interior defensive line.” – Nick Harris
