Stone Brewing’s ‘Stone Ruination’ is widely considered one of the pioneers of the double IPA format, which is precisely why the San Diego County-founded brewery is bringing the beer back to the market seven years after it was originally discontinued.
The ‘Stone Ruination’ is regarded as a classic West Coast Double IPA due to the fact that it carries a full clip of hops, specifically the classic combination of Chinook, Centennial and Magnum hop varieties. As a result, this beer boasts a bold hoppiness rounded off by an explosion of citrus and laced with delicate arboreal aromas. This is why Stone Brewing selected this particular double IPA to be the first release of its ‘2023 Fan Favorite Returns.’
