Post-Vacation Task Helpers : KAYAK And Taskrabbit

Trends
A KAYAK and Taskrabbit survey finds that up to 90% of Canadians spend a week handling post-vacation tasks like unpacking (96%), laundry (96%), and cleaning (92%). To tackle this, KAYAK and Taskrabbit are teaming up this Labour Day to alleviate re-entry blues by managing these chores.

As Labour Day approaches, KAYAK data shows a surge in travel interest. August 25-27 is the cheapest weekend to travel*, with domestic flights 9% cheaper than last year, featuring flights to Calgary, Vancouver, Halifax, and Toronto under $350.

The key survey findings include post-trip apprehension: 31% of Canadian travelers dread post-trip tasks; least liked tasks: Unpacking (44%) and laundry (38%) top the list; and unpacking woes: 1 in 10 Canadians takes a week to unpack.

The partnership offers KAYAK Trips users who create a trip between August 23 and September 15 a $25 discount on Taskrabbit post-vacation task bookings. Additionally, two lucky travelers will receive $500 towards their next trip and $500 in Taskrabbit credit.

KAYAK and Taskrabbit’s partnership aligns with the trend of travel companies offering holistic solutions to enhance user experience and loyalty. The collaboration offers convenience and addresses pain points, showcasing the evolution of travel services beyond the traditional. This approach not only promotes Taskrabbit but also strengthens KAYAK’s brand engagement, creating a win-win scenario for both companies.
