Perth Airport has signed a concession agreement with Travel Point Group to deliver the first Gaming Point in an airport.

“We are excited to offer our passengers increased entertainment options and look forward to partnering with Point Group as they deliver this new offer,” said Rebecca Cook, Acting Chief Commercial Officer, Perth Airport.

The Gaming Point will include an immersive Virtual Reality escape room for up to five players per session, with each session lasting 30-45 minutes. There are eight separate games to choose from and a Game Master from the Gaming Point team will guide the group on their journey.

There will also be a range of individual, high-speed internet gaming stations, linked to the Steam network, enabling die hard gamers to continue gaming on their own account, while also providing solo gaming options in the lounge for newcomers.

“Point Group is in advanced discussions with many major airports around the globe to deliver exciting new experiential offers using Virtual Reality and high-speed gaming facilities at airports and are so pleased to have finalised the agreement with Perth Airport,” said Graeme Stewart, Director, Point Group.

Gaming Point will be located on Level 1 of Terminal 1 International, before security screening, and will be accessible to all domestic and international passengers, both arriving and departing, in the T1/T2 airport precinct.
