Manchester Airport (a Corporate Partner of the FTE Digital, Innovation & Startup Hub) has opened a brand-new Gaming Point in Terminal 1, giving video game fans the chance to play their favourite titles – or try out a Virtual Reality escape room – before their flights.
The state-of-the-art outlet is an airport-first in the UK and features gaming PCs loaded up with a range of top games like Fortnite, Red Dead Redemption 2, Among Us, Hogwarts Legacy, Minecraft, Rocket League and more. It also has a Formula 1 simulator – complete with steering wheel and pedals – as well as a Nintendo Switch.
Adventurous gamers also have the chance to try out a Virtual Reality escape room. The set-up allows people to don a headset and be fully immersed in any one of a range of games – so they can be whisked away to a different world before their flights even take off.

So, as you’d expect, we have a range of restaurants, cafes, shops and bars – but the Gaming Point is a UK-first and represents something completely new for our passengers. It’s a really fun attraction for gamers and non-gamers alike, with a VR escape room, F1 simulator and gaming PCs, consoles and more. It means that if you’re a fan of computer games you’ll be able to come in and log on to play your favourite games like Fortnite and Among Us. But even if you’re not, it gives a chance to enjoy a new and unique experience while you wait for your flight.”
Prices for a gaming session start at £7.50 for 30 minutes and vary depending on the experience you choose. Gaming Point is aimed at players of all ages, with age restrictions applying to particular games.
