Luka magic: Dallas star makes NBA history vs. Knicks

Sports

Luka Doncic‘s magic act reached its crescendo on Tuesday night. That’s what happens when a player accomplishes something not even Wilt Chamberlain was able to do.

His unreal stats were only possible after he tied the game in spectacular fashion.

Doncic intentionally missed a free throw trailing 115-113 with four seconds remaining. He came down with the loose ball on the offensive rebound and made the basket off-balance with a second left.

As ESPN’s Tim McMahon notes, the wild end to regulation was historic.

Doncic was simply unbelievable as he posted 60 points, 21 rebounds and 10 assists in the Mavericks’ comeback 126-121 victory, becoming the first player in NBA history to record a triple-double with 60 points and 20 rebounds.

His performance drew praise from current and former NBA players, analysts and Mavericks owner Mark Cuban.

There aren’t many words to describe how brilliant Doncic was on Tuesday. As great as he was on the court, his ability to leave us speechless might be his most impressive magic act.
