This season involves the group being sent back to high school in 1955. However, Jughead is the only one aware of this time travel.
Lili’s Betty is seen pursuing a relationship (and kissing) Kevin, as well as questioning why Archie and Cheryl were getting married. There’s also mention of an “orgy,” Cheryl seemingly practicing witchcraft, and someone coming at Archie with a saw.
When Lili posted the trailer onto her Instagram, plenty of the comments were negative:
So, in a now-deleted Instagram story, Lili wrote, “Assholes saying, ‘Can’t wait for this show to end,’ like, babe, why does the show have such an impact on your life that you feel the need to make a public comment about it?”
“Run along now,” she added.
Back in October, Lili said of the series finale, “Our season is taking place in the ‘50s, which is very fun. I think it kind of gives our last season a very refreshing take on these characters and seeing them in just kind of like a new exciting way. I think the fans who have been along for the ride since Season 1 are going to really appreciate our ending.”
The final season of Riverdale will come hurtling into our lives on March 29th on The CW.
