Daydreamer is a kinetic sculpture and musical bench that does much more than just provide a place for people to sit in public. This dynamic work of art unites light, music and movement to provide an experience that unites rest with a sense of wonder and play.
A cluster of Daydreamer benches can be found in Plaza Park in South Bend, Indiana and they’re designed to gently rotate, light up and play pleasant music. These benches inspire moments of pause in public spaces and help people to connect to their environment in a calming way that also encourages a sense of community.
Considering that the benches were inspired by the repetitive motions of rocking horses and carousels, it’s no wonder that the designs inspire a sense of childlike play in all users.
