Joyful Painterly Fragrances : jasmin Bonheur

Trends
Jasmin Bonheur is the newest creation from luxury French perfumer Guerlain and it encapsulates the joy, color and light used by Matisse. Inspired by vivid imagery and richly sensory details, the perfumer created a new fragrance to join the L’Art & La Matière collection.

For this all-new fragrance, Guerlain combined bright florals like Jasmine, iris and rose with fruits like apricot, plus chypre. “[It’s all about] light and contrast,” said Thierry Wasser, Guerlain’s master perfumer, “That’s how you get Matisse into a bottle.”

Since its founding in 1828, Guerlain has closely linked fragrances with art. The L’Art & La Matière project explores these connections with others like Neroli Autrenoir, which takes cues from the dark brushstrokes of Pierre Soulages; and Rose Cherie, inspired by Édith Piaf’s La Vie En Rose.
