Sportswear giant adidas celebrates “the history of Italia” with the debut of its Italian international football jerseys. As of January 1st, 2023, adidas was named the official partner of the Italian Football Federation. This means, of course, that the label is tasked with dressing the Italian teams—”men’s, women’s, youth, futsal, beach soccer, and e-sports.”
adidas kicked off this partnership strong with the release of “The Search — La Ricerca.” The new Italian international football jerseys feature marble detailing, which is a break from the traditions of professional football design. adidas frames this motif as “a natural, geographical, and cultural element that represents the nation of Italia.”
The campaign for this launch features Italian players Donnarumma, Rosucci, and Del Piero, as well as the artist Blanco.
