Innovative Ceramic Tableware : ceramic tableware

The ceramic tableware category gets an upgrade with Canadian artist and designer Claire Ellis who creates vessels from waste clay, eggshells, glass, and other sustainable materials.

Ellis’ venture into ceramic tableware began while she worked in “one of the world’s best restaurants in Naarm, Attica” and created bespoke dishes for the business’ tasting menu. She now boasts beautiful and functional ceramics that are “focused on alternative materials, experimentation, and changing perception of waste.” This is certainly a popular direction for many contemporary designers who want to push forward with breathtaking and sustainable objects. Ellis boasts various eye-catching objects on her site that often combine minimalist shapes with interesting textures and colors like the Macro Solace Container and the Flow Vessel.
