EASA Part-26 is a set of European aviation regulations that mandates additional airworthiness standards and safety improvements for aircraft the design of which has already been certified (i.e., aircraft in production or already in service). These focus on continued airworthiness and extending modern safety levels to older designs.
There are a range of different requirements that apply to different aircraft and that are mandated from specific dates.
Having received feedback on the implementation of recent mandates and the related oversight, the Agency’s objective is to increase visibility and increase awareness of the mandates in Part-26.
To help support impacted stakeholders understand what is required when, EASA has developed an Excel document that summarises this information on the various mandates in Part-26, Annex I to Regulation (EU 2015/640).
The database is available as a download on the webpage for Easy Access Rules for Part-26. It is designed to allow a filtering of the mandates by applicability date, affected organisations, aircraft types, operational categories, and the relevant competent authorities.
Currently, the database contains information on the mandates in Part-26 as of 2019, but the objective is to have it extended to further domains over time.
