TAIZ January 08.2023 (Saba) – Taiz Human Rights Office condemned on Sunday violations of citizens’ rights by militias and factions loyal to the US-Saudi-UAE aggression coalition and the state of insecurity in the province.

In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), Human Rights Office condemned the horrific crime committed by the aggression mercenaries with the abduction and killing of citizen Qasim Ahmed Hasan Al-Zubaidi four months ago in al-Turbah region center of the district of the Shemaiteen under the control of mercenary aggression.

The Office stressed his follow-up to the deterioration of the deteriorating security situation in the city of Taiz, its suburbs and its catastrophic effects on the humanitarian situation in those areas, which had made theater to murders, abductions and torture of civilians.

He pointed that the aggression mercenaries hid a crime of abduction and killing the al-Zubaidi citizen and promote his abduction rumor in Al-hoban area.

The Human Rights Office deplored the increase in violations and crimes under the control of aggression and mercenaries, with the complicity of their security services, which have deliberately targeted civilians with killings and threats.

Dealing with what is happening in these areas as war crimes and flagrant violations of international human rights law and international humanitarian law.

The statement held the mercenaries of aggression criminally and legally responsible for all violations suffered by citizens. Calling upon all international and local human rights organizations to assume their responsibility to monitor, document and condemn this and other crimes and prosecute perpetrators until they are in the hands of justice.
