“Like most sellers, I’m always looking for little tips and tricks to work smarter, not harder,” said Ashley Moulder, whose eBay shop Millennial Mouse specializes in pre-loved and vintage fashion items.
Ashley isn’t just looking to improve her own workflow. She’s also passionate about sharing helpful information with other sellers so they can benefit as well, and regularly posts “how-to” videos on her Instagram channel to highlight her latest discoveries. Her goal is to make it easier for sellers to succeed on eBay, she explained in a recent podcast interview.
Soon after graduating from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, Ashley was working in retail operations when she started selling fashion pieces online for extra income in 2018. Her business quickly picked up momentum: “I sold my first item in August, and by the following April, I was selling online full time,” she said. Today Ashley has thousands of active eBay listings, and puts special emphasis on offering non-traditional sizes that can be harder to find. “I try and get pieces for everybody, but also every body.”
One time-saver Ashley is using regularly these days is eBay’s background removal tool. Using the tool, sellers can replace the background of product photos with a clean white backdrop or a variety of AI-generated backgrounds, offering them an easy way to boost the visual appeal of their listings.
