Giant cutouts of Eagles appear on famous Philadelphia steps

Four cutouts of prominent Philadelphia Eagles players are being featured along the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art — made famous in the movie “Rocky” — in the City of Brotherly Love this week ahead of the team’s playoff game against the New York Giants.

Pro Bowlers Jalen Hurts and Darius Slay, as well as veteran defensive end Brandon Graham and No. 2 wide receiver DeVonta Smith, are the four Eagles standouts situated along different parts of the iconic steps leading up to the Philadelphia Museum of Art. According to Rob Tornoe of the Philadelphia Inquirer, this isn’t the first time this has been done ahead of an Eagles postseason contest.

In 2014, Super Bowl LII MVP quarterback Nick Foles, two-time Pro Bowl running back Brian Westbrook and three-time Pro Bowl wideout DeSean Jackson were among the players with cutouts climbing the steps prior to the team’s NFC wild-card game against the New Orleans Saints. Westbrook had already retired from the NFL at the time. Foles went 23-for-33 for 195 passing yards and two touchdowns, and Jackson was limited to just three receptions on six targets for 53 yards.

Philadelphia lost the home playoff game to New Orleans, 26-24, in what was Jackson’s last appearance of his first tenure with the franchise.

The Eagles host the Giants at 8:15 p.m. ET on Saturday in the NFC divisional playoffs.
