PLANO, Texas — Humble (Texas) Atascocita four-star cornerback Braylon Conley was one of the bigger fall risers in the state of Texas this past season as he is now over 30 offers going into his final high school offseason.

His junior season saw him play across the secondary in helping his Eagles team reach the regional finals of the Texas 6A playoffs.

“I feel like my junior year went good,” Conley said. “We made it to the fourth round, maybe not as far as we should have, but things happen. Me, I feel like I got better at the position. I haven’t been playing DB that long, but I feel like I’m more natural now.”

Although dozens of schools have come into the picture in recent weeks, Texas, Texas Tech, Auburn, Arkansas, TCU and Arizona State are some of the programs most in contact.

Texas offered Conley during a gameday visit in the fall and have maintained contact with Steve Sarkisian, cornerbacks coach Terry Joseph and defensive line coach Bo Davis.

“I like everything about Texas,” he said. “Just being around Texas, it feels like a family environment. I love the people there. Coach Sark, Coach Joseph, Coach Davis, I love them. What stands out about them is their openness and their desire for me to develop as a person, not just in football.”

Texas Tech has also thrown in an all-in approach behind multiple staffers reaching out. As a result, Conley will head out to Lubbock on March 4 after the dead period concludes.

“Just the love from the whole staff,” he said. “I talk to all of them, they show love no matter what it is. They communicate well. Coach McGuire just talks about the plan they have for me and how Texas Tech will make me a better person.”

Arkansas is another program that has shown a lot of love as the Razorbacks have keyed in on Conley in 2024.

“I love the coaching staff over there,” he said. “They check in pretty often. They communicate very well and seem to want better for me as a person as well.”

At TCU, a relationship with cornerbacks coach Carlton Buckels has the Horned Frogs in the top group.

“Coach Buck, my position coach, I love his energy,” he said. “He’s a very great guy. He communicates well and wants me to be a good person as well.”

Conley will see a plethora of schools this spring and summer including Washington, Auburn and Utah in March and April.

At 6-foot-0, 170 pounds, Conley is ranked as the No. 28 cornerback prospect in the country and the No. 39 recruit from the state of Texas.
