Egypt extends condolences to South Africa over fuel tanker blast – Foreign Affairs – Egypt

The blast, which took place earlier on Saturday, killed at least 15 people and injured around 40 others, according to media reports.

In a statement, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Cairo stands with the government and people of South Africa, and offered condolences to the families of the dead and wished the injured a speedy recovery. 

The explosion took place after a truck carrying liquid petroleum gas scraped a low bridge in Boksburg city, emergency officials said.
