Compact Modular Handhelds : GKD mini plus

Trends
Fresh off of its return to the handheld market with the GKD Classic, GKD unveiled the ‘GKD Mini Plus’ in a smaller form factor. The Mini Plus is only a few inches wide and tall, with most of the space being taken up by the device’s 3.5-inch display. The remainder of the size is dedicated to the D-Pad and face buttons. However, the base device does not include joysticks or additional buttons.

This is solved with the GKD Mini Plus’s modular design which allows for attachments to be connected via the bottom USB-C port on the device. For example, GKD sells an expansion accessory that adds two joysticks and some extra ergonomic grips, which is excellent for playing PlayStation 1 or Nintendo 64 titles on the go, where a joystick is needed.
