Chelsea Handler Said Joy Koy Renewed Her Faith In Men

So when they split back in July 2022, I truly hoped it was just one big, tasteless joke.

But, six months later, Chelsea is reflecting on the nearly one-year-long relationship with an unusually positive outlook and Eat Pray Love energy.

Chelsea revealed to Entertainment Tonight that her relationship with Jo actually changed her perspective on love, and I’m taking notes.

“I had kind of lost my faith in men,” she confessed.

“And then, I got into a relationship and that faith was renewed, and it made me open-minded and open-hearted and I remain that way.”

“I liked the togetherness and I liked the constant camaraderie and having a buddy and I just thought, ‘Oh yeah, you can find somebody that you have a lot in common with and that can work as well,” she advocated.

“It’s not the end all be all, but it can be beautiful as long as you are really delivering up your best self in that relationship,” Chelsea added. “You don’t want to ever have to be anybody that you’re not… and everybody has the ability to make other people be better and be stronger.”

“I still believe in love. And I believe, now more than ever before, that my person is coming,” she said.

I’m soaking up these love tidbits, but I have to acknowledge this was a slight change from the grim outlook on her appearance during Brooke Shields’ Now What? podcast.

While discussing her breakup with Jo, she said, “walking away from him was one of the most difficult things I ever had to do” but there were behaviors she wasn’t willing to “abandon” for the sake of the relationship.

“I don’t think we can have a friendship until there’s some accountability and some responsibility taken.”

I love a good hindsight journey. Today, Chelsea remains hopeful for the future, and her growth is inspiring.

Good luck on good love, Chelsea!
