Business works for the passionate

One thing most people grapple with when thinking about starting a business is what business to venture into.

Ideally, one would want to enter a business line with good returns and potential for growth.

I was recently talking to a brother of mine, and he tried to convince me that the transport industry was flooded, and no longer lucrative. From his explanation and reflections, I almost bought the idea until I saw it from a different light.

Any business idea can thrive, depending on the vision.

Who can ever imagine that poultry farming can have new successful entrants?

The retail business can have new brands, which can be very competitive. And the automobile industry continues to write history.

You need to position yourself for success.

Do not be desperate for business ideas, without having a passion for a particular business

A business idea cannot be based on the figures only.

If you are not involved in the business, any signs of trouble will see you chickening out.

Goods and services will always be required.

To be a success story you need to have a vision and business strategy that makes your business unique.

It does not have to be easy, neither does it have to be difficult, but an experience with which you seek to achieve your goal.

Ironically from an industry that is being shunned, another person is making a fortune and changing the face of society.

Each story is different, so do not make the mistake of wanting to follow another person’s story.

All the business stories that you hear should equip you with knowledge on what to touch and what to avoid.

Change the face of a particular industry when you get to it.

At the top, there is enough room.

Similarly, at the bottom the pit is big enough to take in all those who do not take business seriously, but just want the money.

The corporate graveyard will never be shy of quitters, but is never ready for the passionate who will live on based on proper business sense.

If you venture on the ordinary, you cannot be a success story.

You need to give the world a good reason to rally behind your idea.

Yes, there could be that product or service already in existence but give the world a reason to go with your brand. The list of reasons is infinity, it only takes a visionary to walk a new path. Go for your idea with genuineness and be the much awaited and needed life solution.

The world is changing and you can be the change that saves the world provided you give it your all. Don’t allow anyone to discourage you by telling you what they failed to achieve themselves. Be open to new possibilities and seek to be yourself.

Remember you are not joining the crowd, but starting your own.

Your environment is not there to deter you, but mold your idea to ensure that it is worth the salt.

The environment works as the bar on which the ordinary cannot overcome. If you have nothing to offer, failure is a sure thing.

Where you cannot surpass the set record you cannot be celebrated.

Doing what everyone else is doing will not be enough to create a legacy. That is the basic explanation of why some businesses sprout by dawn and fade by dusk.

Society has seen new fast foods outlets continue to sprout and the new entrants capitalise on gaps in the market.

Fill the gap and give the world a reason to rally behind you.

You can only pass an exam if you surpass the minimum required threshold. Business is much the same way. Offer what is beyond the minimum and be celebrated accordingly.

Every business failure is a reality the same way every success is an acceptable reality, the difference being on the individuals involved and what they chose to believe.

There will never come a day when business ideas are in short supply, the only difference being the hunger in those that wish to fully explore the business world.

Setting up a business tests one’s character in a very unique way, which is why many find it convenient to be the worker not the visionary.

If you can see beyond the ordinary, then go for it and set up.

Business is not mean only that it rewards passion not greed.

Business works if you have something special to offer, in a crowded world you can make a name for yourself.
