Browns exploring move for intriguing WR

The Browns may just have one more splash play to make before free agency ends and it involves acquiring another weapon for QB Deshaun Watson.

Cleveland is reportedly still pursuing a trade for Broncos WR Jerry Jeudy despite lacking a first round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Jeudy, who is still only 23, was Denver’s 2020 first-round pick and the team has already stated someone would have to make it an offer it couldn’t refuse, which feels as though it would include a first rounder.

If the Browns can package their 2023 second round pick along with a 2024 selection or player, it might be enough to get the Broncos’ attention.

Cleveland is now in its second of three years without a first rounder due to the trade for Watson a year ago. It has made things more difficult when it comes to building the roster, and pulling off a trade for Jeudy would be impressive.

Jeudy had a career-high 67 catches for 972 yards and six touchdowns in 2022. He would certainly help Watson return to the quality of play he showed when he led the league in passing yards in 2020. Plus, he would create one of the top wide receiver trios in the NFL next to Amari Cooper and Donovan Peoples-Jones.
