Alabama signs top-ranked recruiting class for 10th time since 2011

Nick Saban has signed the top recruiting class in college football. Stop us if you’ve heard this before.

Signing elite recruits is par for the course for Saban at Alabama. He’s built a dynasty with the Crimson Tide and much, if not all, of his success, has come down to the talent he brings into Tuscaloosa.

Now that recruits can sign earlier on in the period, “National Signing Day” has lost somewhat of its luster. It’s still cool, though, when a program can announce its signings and give the fans something to look forward to. With that said, the Crimson Tide have a lot to look forward to, because the class Saban and his staff are bringing in is absolutely stacked.

According to the 247Sports Composite, Alabama will have the top-ranked 2023 football recruiting class. This is the tenth time Saban has brought in the consensus top class in the nation since he’s been at Alabama, and this class is actually the second-highest ranked class ever, according to 247Sports. Texas A&M’s 2022 class is still considered the best ever.

Alabama’s class features nine five-star recruits, which means the Crimson Tide are going to be absolutely stacked in the near future. Again, that’s nothing new.

Five-star edge rusher Keon Keely highlights that group of elite talent. He’s ranked as the No. 2 overall recruit in the nation and the top edge rusher, per the 247Sports Composite.

Georgia, Texas, Oklahoma and Ohio State round out the top five of the rankings.
