The conceptual ‘Foldable AC’ is a space-saving appliance for the modern home to prioritize a comfortable interior temperature and more.
The air conditioner is engineered to be positioned onto the wall where it will expand to reveal an accordion-style construction and maximizes airflow to effectively cool down the space quickly. The unit will draw in the accordion-style wings when turned off to visually save space, while also eliminating additional areas for dust to collect. The micro-holes across the unit help to soften the airflow and prevent hot or cold spots in the space.
The conceptual ‘Foldable AC’ has been designed by Li Sha, Chen Guangyu, Liu Jiachi, Qiao Xiwei, Tang Zhizhao, Xiao Yi, Xu Siling, Yu Kang, and Zhu Wang for Gree Electric Appliances Inc.
