eBay has unveiled another artificial intelligence-powered feature to save sellers time and effort as they create listings for their products. Using the new magical bulk listing tool, sellers can simply upload batches of product images, and eBay will generate draft listings with suggested categories, titles, and item specifics in a matter of seconds. After reviewing the details for accuracy, sellers can publish their listings to the marketplace.
The magical bulk listing tool can process hundreds of photos per batch and create numerous drafts simultaneously. U.S. Seller Hub users can use the tool now to list in the Sports Trading Card category, and eBay plans to expand it to more categories and countries in the coming months. Early data showed that among users creating listings for trading cards, the tool significantly reduced the time it took to list items.
“I’m pretty excited about it,” said eBay seller and YouTuber Bobbles and Ballcards in a recent video about magical bulk listing. “It’s always a good thing when these platforms are trying to … make things easier on us.”
eBay has recently launched a number of new features that use AI to enhance the selling and buying experience. eBay’s background enhancement tool lets sellers turn snapshots into studio-quality product images, allowing them to remove cluttered backgrounds and replace them with a variety of AI-generated backdrops. Another new generative AI feature helps sellers more easily create social posts promoting their offerings. And for buyers, Shop the look curates personalized fashion picks in an immersive carousel experience.
