Following his participation at the recent FTE Global event, co-located with APEX/IFSA Global EXPO in Long Beach, Future Travel Experience caught up with Steve Sisneros, VP Airport Affairs, Southwest Airlines. In this video interview, he shares the Southwest strategy for building and developing spaces for future growth in key markets, as well as transformative approaches to designing the next generation of airport facilities. “We’re working with our airport partners on long-term projects and capital developments,” Sisneros explains. “At LAX, for example, Southwest is designing and constructing Concourse 0 – a $2 billion, nine gate extension to Terminal 1 – in cooperation with Los Angeles World Airports. We’re doing new and innovative things to improve the customer experience.”
