Ship4wd announces new financing and payment options for SMBs, easing freight industry standards

Digital freight forwarding platform Ship4wd has announced the launch of three new financing options for small to medium-sized import and export businesses, granting them access to instant $10,000 credit lines (subject to eligibility), 90-day payment windows for freight, and secure online checkouts to pay for shipments.

The new offerings from Ship4wd aim to alleviate cash flow management struggles for SMBs, which are a significant challenge to SMB growth, especially during tough economic times.

Ship4wd provides digital freight forwarding services catered specifically to SMBs with the goal of reducing disparities in the freight world, in which large companies often receive preferential treatment over smaller businesses.

The new services are in partnership with 40Seas, a leading B2B and cross-border financial services platform.

Carmit Glik, CEO of Ship4wd, said in a press release: “We’re proud to offer industry-leading access to instant $10,000 credit lines, ‘Buy Now, Pay Later’ 90-day post-delivery payment terms and fully digitized online payment options for our customers. When examining these financial services collectively, there is no other digital freight forwarder doing all of this. Our goal at Ship4wd is to make the freight forwarding experience less complex, especially for small and medium-sized business owners, as our team strives to keep their needs at the heart of everything we do. It’s our mission to ease the burden of global shipping and financing off the shoulders of business owners to enable them to focus on the growth of their business. Today we are setting a new industry standard and advocating for small and medium-sized businesses.”

Eligible SMBs can access Ship4wd’s credit line without pre-payments, collateral, or guarantees. Owners can request additional credit over the $10,000 initial limit, pending eligibility. The company’s BNPL service enables businesses to defer paying for costly shipments upfront, spreading out expense outflows to match cash inflows.

With online checkout, businesses can move away from outdated practices such as paying for shipping using checks or relying on external banking vendors, which are still the norm in the industry. Customers can log into the Ship4wd dashboard and pay by credit, debit, bank transfer, or ACH for their shipments, removing the headache of untracked or opaque payment workflows.

Ship4wd is backed by ZIM Integrated Shipping Services Ltd. (NYSE: ZIM) and offers a wide range of services for SMBs including guaranteed price quotes, bookings, live expert support, and quote comparisons.
