Derek Carr’s time as a member of the Las Vegas Raiders is coming to an end.
The writing has been on the wall for some time regarding Carr’s status with the Raiders, but there had been some intrigue of late as to whether or not Carr would waive his no-trade clause and accept a move to another franchise. The team most connected to the QB in trade talks was the New Orleans Saints. There is still a fair amount of smoke there, but Carr instead will force Vegas to release him. As for the Raiders, they’ve been listed as a possible destination for Aaron Rodgers, who would reunite with Davante Adams in Sin City. It’s unclear if Las Vegas would want to go that route or if it will look to add a QB in April’s draft, where the Raiders have the No. 7 overall pick. No matter where they get their next signal-caller, the Raiders will look to start anew under center for the first time in almost a decade.
