Care leavers in Greater Manchester can now take advantage of a new app called ‘Bee Connected,’ which helps users find support, offers, and opportunities in one place. ‘Bee Connected’ was created by Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) and Focusgov to help care leavers thrive outside of their previous homes. Through ‘Bee Connected,’ care leavers are given access to health support, resources to support independent living, and encouragement to reach financial stability.
“I’m so pleased that we’re launching the Bee Connected app, which is all about giving care leavers the information and the confidence to help them live independent lives. Having all the support and guidance set out in once place will make it as easy as possible for them to understand their options and make their own choices,” said the Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham.
