President Donald Trump will undertake a State Visit to the United Kingdom this week at the invitation of King Charles III. The visit will formally commence on Wednesday, September 17, with the arrival of the President and First Lady at Windsor Castle.
Upon arrival, Their Royal Highnesses The Prince and Princess of Wales will greet the President and First Lady and accompany them to meet Their Majesties The King and Queen. A ceremonial Royal Salute will be fired from the East Lawn of Windsor Castle and the Tower of London to mark the occasion.
Following the welcome, the President and First Lady will join the Royal Family in a Carriage Procession through the Windsor estate en route to the Castle. As part of the visit’s programme, the Princess of Wales and the First Lady will participate in a joint engagement at Frogmore Gardens, meeting members of the Scouts Squirrels initiative to learn about youth involvement in nature and outdoor activities.
The visit underscores the enduring diplomatic and cultural ties between the United States and the United Kingdom.
