📍 Vienna/Helsinki, 5 September 2025 — Terhi Hakala, Special Envoy of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, will undertake an official visit to Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan from 8 to 16 September. The mission aims to reinforce the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe’s engagement with key regional partners.
During the visit, Hakala will hold consultations with senior government officials and civil society leaders to advance dialogue on shared priorities. She will also meet with OSCE field staff and beneficiaries, and visit two cornerstone initiatives: the OSCE Academy in Bishkek and the Border Management Staff College in Dushanbe.
The visit reflects Finland’s active role as OSCE Chair in 2025, emphasizing inclusive cooperation and regional stability. Updates on the Chairpersonship are available via OSCE’s official site and on X: @Finland_OSCE.
